She was soon in front from Mo- ’ j hua and Sardius, and she held on to ' I beat Mohua by a short head. As she • I was carrying the same weight as the i I | speedy Mohua, it was a useful perII | formance. This filly is a three-year-a I old bay daughter of Defoe from the I Sarto —Scarab mare Bertha, who did • not race herself, but is a half-sister L ' to Wilmoreana, a winner of hurdle ’• events ,and to Arab Song (dam of e Tidal Song)t It is one of the branches from the faomous Juliet family.
