WELLINGTON SUMMER MEETING.
Fine Collection Of Horses Nominated. The Wellington Racing Club has a very fine collection of horses for the summer Meeting, to be held this month. The nominations for the three days total 654 —a. wonderful increase on the 596 received a year ago. Apart from numbers, there is the additional merit that the class .is strong. The 33 horses entered for the Wei lington Cup include practically all tin best horses in commission. Cutldli is missing, as she is booked for an other Australian trip; but all the other cup and handicap horses of noli are there. Among them are Fersei (New Zealand Cup), Argentic (Metro politan Handicap), FloodtidGe (Mit chelson Cup and A.R.C. Handicap) Spiral (Manawatu Cup), Lowenber: (Stratford Cup), Dungarvan (Marto Cup), and Tiger Gain (Wairarap Cup). In addition there are las years’ winner, Queen of Song, an also the recent southern winners, Di volo, Guarantee, and Tunnells, Among the three-year-olds are th I Great Northern Derby winner. Esse? i Others of note are Vintage, the wii ner in 1935, Oratory, Scotland, Ma ter Briefly, and Arctic King. It is first-class field.
