FIRST LAMB SALE
Good Yarding at Douglas Yesterday.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., report that at the Douglas sale, held yesterday, a good yarding came forward with a large attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. The competition was keen throughout, with the result that a total clearance was made under the hammer at very satisfactory prices. Shorn ewe lambs made up to 27/10; shorn wether- lambs to 20/-; shorn b.f. lambs to 19/9; failing-mouth aged ewes to 22/6.
The following are the main lots: On account of M. S. Jackson, 82 shorn ewe lambs at 27/-; on account of F. J. Bevins, do. at 27/10; on at> of F. J. Burns, do. at 27/10; on account H. L. Walker, 50 shorn wether lambs at 20/-; on account F. J. Bevins, do. at 19/9; on account Vic. Bevins, do. at 19/1; on account A. C. Gibbs, do. at 18/6; on account B. Walker, do. at 18/4; on account F. C. Mitchell, woolly wether lambs at 19/8; on account Vic Bevins, shorn fat and forward b.f. lambs ait 19/9; medium lambs from 16/- to 17/6; small fri 13/6 to 14/6.
