In addition to those who have already gone to Spain, 100 Independent Labour Party volunteers for the Loyalists await instructions but are not departing pending Counsel’s opinion whether the Foreign Enlistment Act applies to the Spanish conflict. Major C. W. Attlee, Leader ot the Party, says that Labour regards Wjth disquiet the Government’s prohibition of volunteers without obtaining the Fascist Powers pledge to prevent the reinforcing of Franco’s Forces.
