ANOTHER DEATH FROM PARALYSIS.
CASE IN DUNEDIN. Little Development Elsewhere In New Zealand. Press Association—Copyright. Dunedin, Last Night. A man aged 21 years from Deborah Bay, Port Chalmers, who was admitted to hospital on Friday died on Saturday morning from infuntile paralysis. Suspects admitted to the Dunedin hospital on Friday all are now proved positive. A girl, aged two, from Port Chalmers is paralysed, while another girl, aged 2$ years, of Dunedin, is without paralysis. There have been no new notifications of the disease yesterday or to-day. What is regarded as the second definite case of infantile paralysis at Auckland is that of a young man, aged about 24 years, who was admitted to the Auckland hospital for treatment late on Friday night. He was brought some distance from a country district to the city, and while at first no positive diagnosis could be obtained, its development on Saturday indicated that the case was a definite one.
Auckland Position. Another suspect, a boy, aged 14 years, from an Ausliland suburban district, was admitted for observation. This was done on the advice of the patient’s doctor and the health authorities, although it is expected to be only a very mild case, if it proves to be one at all. The case of the other young man reported on Friday as positive is still doubtful, the doctors stating this afternoon that they were unable to announce a definite diagnosis. Meanwhile he is being treated as a positive case. His condition Is not serious.
