MARKET VERY BRISK HIGHER PRICES. Hogget Wool Was In Demand To-day. Press Association —Copyright. Received 1 p.m. Wellington, To-day. At the' Wellington wool sale to-day the market was very brisk and there was a large attendance of buyers. Hogget wool was in demand, and the pace was made hot by most buyers. Typical prices were: Medium crossbreds 153 d to 17d; fine crossbred, 171 d to 18£d; super crossbreds, 18d to 21Jd; Lincoln, 16d to 18d; Southdown, 21d to 24id; halfbred, 20d to 23Jd; threequarter-bred, 13|d to 143 d; merino, 19d to 22d; lambs’ wool 16d to 20d; pieces 12d to 14Jd; crutchings,' 14id to 171 d; necks 15d to 16d; bellies 113 d to 13d. Prices are estimated to be up a full penny per pound on those ruling at the December sale.
