Bored, Jumped from Train
WANTED MORE ATTRACTIVE FELLOW Bored with the people in his compartment in a Southern Railw’ay train a young English bank clerk attempted to change to another compartment. At Reedham Halt he jumped from the train after it had restarted. The clerk, Peter John Teesdale, oi Walton-on-the-Hili, Surrey, was fined £1 10s at Croydon for attempting tc enter a train in motion. <4 I wanted to see if there was someone more attractive in some othei compartment,’’ he said. James Challen, the driver, said that if h e had not stopped Teesdale would have gone under the train.
