NEWSPAPER VIEWS.
German Press Blames Britain And France.
Press Association-r-Copyright. Received 11 a.m. Paris, Jan. 8
M. Blum’s newspaper, Populaire, is the only paper taking an optimistic view of the Italo-German replies. The rest of the press considers that Italy and Germany are merely playing for time. A Berlin message says that the German press bitterly attacks France anti Britain, resenting their “attempts to place Germany in the dock,” and declares that if France and Britain had followed the German suggestions, the Spanish win would now be over.
