RADIO REUNION
Talk Between Hobart And London.
Press. Association—Copyright. Wellington, To-day.
Possibly the first example of a fam ily reunion by long-distance radiotelephony occurred recently when Mrs K. Tucker, of Seatoun, spoke from Hobart to her 90-year-old mother, two sisters and a niece in London The conversation, lasting four minutes, was made by three-way radiotelephone, from the office of her brother, Mr. F. W. Medhurst, of the electrical firm of Medhurst and Son, Hobart. At the distance of 12,500 miles the voices could be recognised and every word heard quite distinctly.
