Personal Pars

Mr. J. O. Thomas, Warkworth, who has been visiting Stratford, returned by car to-day. Mr. A. E. Anderson, Aucklaiu, who has been visiting his parents Mr and Mrs. J. Anderson, East Road, relumed by car to-day. Advice has been received of the transfer, on promotion, of Mr. W. G. Cooper, who for the past, two years has been chief postmaster at Wanganui, to the position of chief postmaster at Auckland. His appointment dates from February 1. It is understood he will leave before the end of this month to assume his new duties in succession to Mr. J. P. P. Clouston, who is retiring on superannuation.
