THREE-DAY SICKNESS
Epidemic Among Dairy Herds In Queensland. Press Association-Copyright. Brisbane, Jan. 7. What is described as a "three-day sickness” has broken out in dairy herds in Queensland. At least 70 Io 80 per cent, are affected but . the mortality fortunately is low.
Government officials express the opinion that infection possibly began with a flying insect introduced from Java by one- of the many aero-planes arriving in Australia. It has been established that the sickness was carried by an insect with a very wide range of flight. Government investigation is proceeding.
