A secondary depression is, however, crossing the South Island. The forecast is for moderate to strong Iwest to south-west winds, reaching gale force |n places, later temporarily turning more southerly; weather changeable and with passing showers at times in tnost places; temperatures coo! to moderate; seas rough.
