Canterbury Leaves Wellington Hard Task Press Association—Copyright. Christchurch, Last Night. The wicket was easy-paced for the continuation of the Plunket Shield match between Wellington and Canterbury to-day. Canterbury went for runs regardless of cost and raised the overnight score of 308 for two wickets to 430 for six wickets. Croimb then declared. Wellington, which made 183 in the first innings, lost two wickets cheaply and then went on to score 194 runs for three wickets. After a disastrous start in the second innings, in which two wickets fell for 15 runs, Wellington now has an outside chance of confining Canterbury to a first innings win.
