FELL FROM ’PLANE.
OR DID HE JUMP? Conjecture About Intentions Of Wenner. Press Association—Copyright. (Received 1.30 p.m.) , London, January 4. The question whether be fell or jumped has been raisd in connection with the disappearance of Max V. Wenner from the Cologne-Brussels airliner. Passengers who came to London from Brussels in another ’plane stated that they saw Wenner write some letters, put them in his pocket, and leave the comparment. Later they felt a bang and shudder of the machine’fuselage. The door in the floor luggage locker was damaged by the bang, therefore was presumably caused by the l door slamming shut over the River Meuse district. Wenner was aged forty-nine and is reputed to be wealthy. He lived at Bathcote Hail, Shropshire. His wife, to whom he was most devoted, died in July. The case recalls the disappearance of the financier, Loewenstein from a machine over the English Channel in 1928.
