SCIENTISTS EXPELLED
Action Taken By The Soviet Academy.

Because they refused to retu’rn to Russia, the Soviet Academy has expelled Professor Ipatieff and the equally’ famous chemist, Nikolai Chibadin. Both were given leave of absence to pursue research work abroad and allegedly took, posts with foreign firms. Their work is regarded as being important to the Soviet tar industries and their refusal to return, therefore unpatriotic.
