American Strike Leader Knocked Down Cyclist Press Association—Copyright. New York, December 28 Harry Bridges, Longshoremen’s union strike leader, was released today on. a writ of habeas corpus following his arrest on a charge of “investigation of negligent homicide” as the result of the death of a boy bicyclist alleged to have been struck by Bridges’ automobile while he was on the way to address a meeting of strikers Bridges’ companions stated that the bicycle was unlighted. .<
