VISITOR’S PRAISE.
Camp Site Facilities Enjoyed. .—_t ‘‘For a quiet time you can’t beat it,” stated a Wellington visitor at Mie Stratford camp site to a Press reporter this morning, in commenting on the facilities provided for campers. “Some people like plenty of life, but this will do me,” he added. His children had had a great time playing around in the grass. Inland dwellers are drawn to the beaches, but to these young folks from the seaside the green open spaces were more of a novelty. The heavy rain yesterday obliged campers to seek the shelter of the buildings. The cookhouse was full and the caretaker, Mr E. P. Blanchard, had big fires going for drying clothes. Over the holidays there has been a daily average of six parties at the camp site. Had it not been for the unsettled conditions .the patronage would have been much greater. Some callers, ascertaining that the weather was better elsewhere, immediately proceeded on their journey.
