She is sure to collect some of the prizes on offer during the holidays. * -X- * Te Huia looks the pick of the card at New Plymouth on Boxing Day. This horse and Silk Sox went a very good gallop on Saturday morning and both are in excellent condition. * * * A large number of Auckland horses are expected down for the Taranaki circuit during Xmas, where races should be easier to win than at Ellerslie. Among those showing form and likely to succeed are: Rua King, Tutor, Prince- Rangi, Tonnerre, Cheval de Volee and Race Call. * # * Dungarven. is doing all that is being asked of him at Awapuni and promises to go out favourite for the Manawatu Cup on Boxing Day. -X- * * Horses worth following during Xmas and New Year are; Mazir (Ellerslie). Cole; Nothing * * * Friesland has been working brilliantly at Hawera and if this horse does not pick up a within the next fortnight it will surprise the Hawera track-watchers.
