Injury Of Racehorse Mala Cause Of Action. . '■ Press Association —Copyright. Sydney, Decembhr 22 A writ claiming £2O-1j damages has been issued by Henry Edgar Russell against the Commissioner of Road Transport as the result of an injury alleged to have been received by the New Zealand colt Mala when he was struck by a tram at Rand wick on the morning of the last A.J.C. Derby, in which Maia finished second •to Talking. Russell claims that he has to Withdraw Mala from numerous subsequent racing engagements. Upoko Ariki has been withdrawn from the Summer Cup on Boxing Day.
