Imperial Flying-boat Makes Record. Press Association —Copyright. London, December 21. The Caledonia, the first of the Imperial Airways flying-boats to be fitted for experimental long 'range Atlantic test flights, created a record for commercial aircraft by flying nonstop from Alexandria to Marseilles, a distance of 1700 miles, in 111 hours, and carrying half a ton of Empire Christmas mails. It will fly non-stop to Southampton to-morrow.
