Hammond’s Happy Hunting Ground.

W. R. Hammond has a wonderful record against Australia in Australia. In 1928-29 he made 261 in Sydney, 200 at Melbourne mid 119 not out and 177 at Adelaide. In 1932-33 he scored 112 in the first Test match at Sydney, and 101 and 75 not out .in the

fifth at Sydney, in 1928 29 he made 905 runs in Test matches at an average of 113.12 an innings, and in 1932-33 440 at 55.0. Sydney has always been a happy hunting ground for him, his scores there including 225 not out, 251, 112, 101 and 75 not out, and 91.
