Publication of Lawrence’s Last Book. Press Association —Copyright. London, Dec. 17. ■ Mr. Raymond Savage, holder of the English copyright of Colonel T. E. Lawrence's book, “The Mint” when it is published in the United States, says there is no prospect of publication in Britain for a quarter of a century. Manuscript copies are at present locked in a bank’s strong room. . “Colonel Lawrence told his brother before his death that he did not want the book published during the lifetime of anyone mentioned in it,” adds Mr. Savage, “I have read the book carefully' several times. It is as near to genius as ‘The Seven Pillars of Wisdom.’ Few of Colonel Lawrence’s friends were allowed to read the book during his lifetime. It is said that a number of changes in the training routine of the Royal Air Force were the result of a perusal of Jit .by a high official of the Air Ministry.”
