Attempts Made To Release Marshal Chiang. • Press Association —Copyright. Nanking, Dec. 17. Mr W. H. Donald, Marshal Chiang Kaishek’s adviser, made a surprise flight to Sian to-day at the regu'est of Madame Kai-shek, in order to make a further effort to obtain her husband’s release. General Chiang Hsueh-liang, who holds Marshal Chiang prisoner, has requested Mr. T. V. Soong to come to Sianfu to conduct negotiations.
