Anderson, who is also chairman of the Stratford Hospital Board, at the monthly meeting of the council to-day, when the report of the health inspector on the outbreak of infantile paralysis at Dunedin was considered. There was nothing the council could do, continued Mr. Anderson. All the necessary precautions had been well advertised. The Stratford Hospital Board had made all preparations against the appearance of a case in its district. An isolation ward was ready and special nurses were available.
