FIRST GREY HAIRS.

More Upsetting Than First Wrinkles.

The first grey hairs are more upsetting to most women than the first wrinkles, yet they’ are not. nearly so serious. Isolated grey hairs are often found on the heads of girls in their ’teens, so, unless they arrive in numbers, there is nothing Ito worry about. Full them out, and forget them, for the belief that every white hair removed means the arrival of two more is a fallacy.

If, however, grey hairs appear with disquieting frequency’, do something about it at once. Ask .the doctor to prescribe an iron and arsenic tonic, and see that the diet is rich in iron-forming foods. Oatmeal, grapes, raisins, spinach and apples are some of the .things that should figure on the menu. Eggs are often used for treatment of premature greyness. Raw eggs, taken three times a day, form part of a famous hair specialist’s diet .treatment for arresting it. If this is persevered with for at least a month, great improvement in the colour will be noticed. To make a tonic shampoo; Beat up the yoke of an eigg with a cupful of lukewarm rain water, and add a teaspoonful of spirits of camphor. Massage well into the head foi* three or four minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
