Magistrate Imposes Fine Of £lO. Press Association—Copyright. Blenheim. Last Night. A £lO fine was imposed on Bernard Vincent Buliff by' .the magistrate, Mr T. E. MaunseU, on a charge of resisting the Marlborough Acclimatisation Society’s ranger in the exet-' else of his powers. The fact' uffiV' closed that Hie ranger suspectiyi. Blows ■ were exchanged and subsequently *jt was discovered that the bags actually contained rabbits. The charge was dismissed by thiF magistrate at .the original hearingtwo months ago on the defence that* the ranged had insulin mnt groundsto suspect the presence of illicit game and to insist ou a search. This decision was reversed by Mr Justice Ostler on tn appeal, by tlie Acclimatisation Society' to-day. The minimum penalty was exacted by tlie magistrate after hearing Buliff’s version ioh flic aaffir.
