It is reliably reported that the Duke of Windsor is renting a house at Kitzbuehel, in the Austrian Tyrol, till further notice. A Budapest cable message says that it is reported that the exKing is negotiating for the purchase of Count Zichy’s castle and 4000 acres at Lengyeltoti, eight miles south of the capital. A later message says that the Duke of Windsor is suffering from a slight chill and is confined to his room. -- -■ Lord Brownlow remained at Engesfeld overflight, and during the evening the Duke and he watched films showing the abdication and proclamation scenes. Although suffering from a cold, the Duke said he was feeling perfectly well and was not contemplating going to Vienna for medical advice. He adds that he greatly appreciates the quietude he is now enjoying, . • A message says that, accompanied by Mr. Herman Rogers and his wife and a detective, Mrs Simpson drove to Nice arid visited Mr. H. L. Squire, United States Consul, and renewed her passport. Ten cars containing journalists trailed the party. Mrs. Simpson subsequently shopped at Cannes, frustrating the cameramen by raising hei umbrelk-. the police augmenting the screen by spreading out their capes ana keeping off the inquisitive crowd.
