STRATFORD HOSPITAL

Reports To Meeting Of Board A total of 51 patients had been admitted to the hospital during the month, the medical superintendent, Dr W. Brown, reported to the meeting of the hospital board yesterday. The number discharged was 63; died one; remaining in hospital 21; out-patients attended 74; admissions to maternity ward eight; visits to ante-natal clinic 35. Twenty’-four operations had been performed. The district nurse at Whanganiomona, Miss E. A. Robertson, reported that the number of patients was 31; visits 75; cured 17; sent to doctor five; transferred to hospital two. The borough inspector, Mr A. E. Sayers, reported that no cases of notifiable disease occurred in the borough during the month. The gardener, Mr M. W. Priest, reported that the fine weather had helped the garden along and the lawns, and flower beds were in good order. Those present were: Messrs T. R. Anderson (chairman), H. J. Marchant, G. P. Harkness, M. Gernhoet'er, J. D. Law, Mesdaines T. Phillips and D. Shannon and Mr T. Penn (secretary).
