The next meetings to be held arc on Saturday'. They are: Woodville (second day), Waipa at Te Awamutu (one day) and Hororata (one day). The win and place system of bet-1 ting will be in operation at Waipa and Hororata, while Woodville will stick to the 75-25 system. • « • Fields at Waipa are very good and some line should be shown in regard to form for Xmas racing. -x- ■xHorses which should race well at Waipa-are: Racewhip, Johnny Walls, Torch, Girl Pat, Lornacre, Dark Shadow, Quadroon, Ellanua Swept Rose and Tradesman. * * * At Hororata likely favourites should be Oriental King, Cyclonic, Cape Gabo, Pink Abbey, Fiord, Wine Card and Owisgleam. * * * A horse who should race well at holiday meetings is lAmelita. She has been in a place in her last three starts and was unlucky on m\cii occasion. She should be worth watching. ■X’ vr A. E. Ellis will be on hand at Ellerslie to ride Silver Ring in the Cup and Namakia in the big sprint. L. J. Ellis will also be there and his principal ride will most likely be on Cuddle in the Cup.
