PLAIN MR. WINDSOR.
Leaving Country Almost Immediately. Press Association —Copyright. London, Dec. 10. The Press Association understands that the King signed the instrument of abdication at 10 a.in. today in the presence of the Duke of York, the Duke of Kent, and the Duke of Gloucester, in his study' on the ground floor of Fort Belvedere, where he spent most of his time during the recent anxious days. The King renounces with the Throne all his titles, becoming plain Mr. Windsor, but subsequently he will probably receive a Dukedom. The Duke of York has not yet decided on his title. He may prefer George VI, instead of Albert I. Queen Mary spent ninety minutes witli the Duke and Duchess of York. A crow’d cheered her when she was departing. The Press Association confirms that the King will leave the country immediately after signing the Act of Abdication. The coronation of the new King will probably be as arranged for the late King.
