Public Holiday Next Monday In Australia. Press Association—Copyright. Received 11.15 a.in. Canberra, To-day. Next Monday, December 14, is the birthday of the new King. The Comnionweialth Public Setrv/lee Act provides that the King’s birthday shall be observed as a public holiday. The day will therefore be a public holiday if . British legislation providing for the accession has received the Royal Assent. The day the now King is proclaimed will also be declared a public holiday throughout Australia. No advice has yet reached the Commonwealth regarding the dale of the Coronation of the new King.
