FACTS AND FANCIES.

Horses Worth Watching For Future. (BY "TOPWEIGHT.”) RACING FIXTURES. Dec 10-12—Woodville J.C. Dec. 12 —Waipa R.C. Dee. 12 —Hororata R.C. Dec. 19—O'.aki Maori R.C. SPIRAL, ENTAIL, VELOCIPEDE, and KING MUSK have been scratched for all Ellerslie engagements. DUNGARVAN also is an unlikely starter. He is nominated for events at Munawatu, and is almost, certain to race there, it is his home track. CUDDLE and ARGENTIC are both doing their track-work pleasingly, and bar unforeseen circumstances will be seen at the Auckland Cup meeting. CUDDLE will more than likely be given a race at Otaki on December 19.

MASTER BRIERLY is training very well at Ellerslie. This horse seems much improved by his Wellington and Christchurch racing. SUNNY BLONDE, which has accepted for Woodville, is repbrted to be a very fast maiden. She ran third in her last start in Hawkes Bay and may be worth keeping in mind. A horse that will be well suited by the long straight at Woodville is WE RO HI A. That second in the New Zealand Cup should see him favourite in his race.

FAKANUI, which will race at Woodville* on Thursday, will go on to Ellerslie, where he is in the big sprint. He has 9 stone to carry on Thursday, as against 8.7 at Ellerslie, against the best, so he is not badly handicapped at Woodville. One which catches the eye at Woodville is COUNT WILLONYX, in the Hurdles. This one is a stayer and may surprise them all in the big straight on Woodville track. TOUT LE MONDE, INVOICE, IN THE DARK, and PRIVATE BUNSBY have arrived at Woodville in charge of the Riccarton trainer, T. Lloyd. These horses are sure to win some money from now on. They are in the pink of condition.

The Maiden Stakes at Woodville will probably be run in two divisions on Thursday: First Division —Perfect Lady, Wee Lap, Black Frost, Meamea, In the Dark, Sunny Blonde, Rioghail, The Pawnbroker, Party, Whistle Pinkie, Diamond Cutter, Fair Isle. Second Division—People’s Idol, First Spec, Beagle, Iluka, Nereus, All Happiness, Black Fox. Count Siegfried, Aube. Appendage, Hunting Spy.

Riding engagements so far to hand for Waipa are: L. Dulieu: Little Artist, King's Archer, Trouvaille. N. Vaughan: Gascyne. F. Fergus: Lucidus. H. Goldfinch: King Neptune, Round Up, Master Briefly. In “Odds on’s” racing notes, printed in Tuesdays issue, for the Mangarawa Handicap the placings were transposed. They should read: PETER BECKFORD KINDHEART,. PREVAIL.
