Nichol Unfit To Continue Against Kelly. Auckland, Last Night. - A professional heavyweight boxing ' contest between “Deacon” Leo Kelly, I ended disappointingly shortly after : the opening of the sixth round. At. this stage Nichol appealed to the ! referee for examination of his right i arm, which he had been unable .to use ; in the preceding round. Doctors proi nounced him unlit, to continue and the ■■ match was awarded to Kelly. Nichol ; claimed the advantage up to the time |of his retirement, lie had the better | of the weights, scaling 12.13 against j Kelly’s 12.3, while he also had an adJ vantage in height and reach.
