Lyon, M.P., ; milk vendor under protest,” will not be used on Monday, the cause of the j grievance having been removed. Mr ■ Lyon said to-day that he had been I met very fairly by" the milk council., i which had agreed that the Auckland company should sell its rights to the vendors on the North Shore, ithus protecting the interests of the local farmers. j* As a protest against the fact that | milk production by some of the farmI ers in his electorate, Waitemata, had 1 been taken away from them and givTen to a city linn, Mr W. J. Lyon, M.P., said on Thursday last that miles the arrangement was altered he would procure a float and commence operations as a milk vendor in Devonport on Monday' with a view to being prosecuted and having- the position ventilated.
