Fears Of Weakening Effect On Heart. Press Association —Copyright. Rome, Dec. 6. The Pope has a slight temperature due .to an attack of asthma. It is feared that influenza may' intervene which, with his weak heart, would cause anxiety. His doctors declare the Pope is a bad patient as he refuses to stay in bed.
