ANOTHER DAY OF ANXIOUS CONSULTATIONS.
DETECTIVES GUARDING MRS. SIMPSON ABROAD. ,
WORLD ANXIOUSLY AWAITS DECISION BY KING ' EDWARD.
LONDON, December 6. Although some quarters express the opinion that the King’s decision may be disclosed to-day,the Press Association understands there is authority for saying that no definite move will be made be fore midday on Monday, when the climax is expected. Mr. Baldwin’s visit to the King to-day, whdn he submitted to His Majesty certain documents, followed another day of anxious consultations. There was a continuous stream of callers at Downing Street. The Prime Minister after his return from Fort Belvedere summoned a special meeting of Ministers at 5.30 p.m. on Sunday, at which he will communicate the latest news of the King’s attitude. It is not likely that a statement will be issued after this meeting. f ’ A I ar S of inhabitants watched Mrs. Simpson’s arrival at Cannes. ■ English and French detectives are now guarding the gates of the villa. Ihe crisis, according to authoritative circles, will be finished on Monday night.
