QUADRUPLETS.
A grade sow on an Inglewood farm gave birth to four calves at .the, weeknd, an occurrence with few parallels in New Zealand. The cow, the property cf Mr Carey, Hurst house Road,, gave birth to three on Saturday morning, and yesterday morning, about 22 hours la/er, a fourth was horn. All lour, three bulls and one heifer, were born alive but two died later. The cow is faring well. Inquiries made last night showed that the quadr ’, tie b’rth has bad tew precedents in New Zealand, al hough one inr'ance occurred at Dunedin several years ago.
