JAPANESE MARINES.
Protest At Intervention In ‘ Cotton Dispute. Press Association —-Copyright. Received 11 a.m. To-day. Tsingtao, Dee. 3. A thousand Japanese marines, fully armed, have landed here and are patrolling the streets, following the declaration of a lock-out at the Japanese cotton mills, which brought to a standstill 25,000 Chinese workers. It is reported that the marines seized three leading Chinese and searched a number of offices. The Mayor has protested to the Japanese Consul.
