Period of Prosperity.

“Since returning to New Zealand a few weeks ago, I am told that there will be a period of prosperity for about two years while public money is being spent freely, but that after that period we may look out for squalls,” declared Mr. M. A. Elliott during an address to Rotarians in Palmerston North. “I do not agree with that view,” declared Mr. Eliott. “I think pros perity will last for several years. Here and in other countries people are emerging from the worst depression they have known, and are anxious to spend money. Capital is plentiful. “We may, in New Zealand, have some ill effects from legislation or the like, but at least it will not offset the world recovery in which we must share.”
