SHIPPING STRIKE
Caused Serious Fall Of Imports. Press Association—Copyright. Los Angeles, Nov. 30. The Collector of Customs at Los Angeles announced to-day 'that the effect of the shipping strike on Southern California was that imports in November were worth £250,000, compared with £982,000 in November, 1935, while exports were worth £614,000, compared with £1,465,000 in 1935. It is expected t*ere will be a worse drop next month.
; Two more unions, marine telegraphists and oilers, with a total membership of 9500, have dec ids -4 to join the strike at Atlnufi<- ami Gulf of Mexico ports. ■ . ,
