“UNSPEAKABLE HORRORS” OF SPAIN AND RUSSIA
ARCHBISHOP’S BITTER CRITICISM OF COMMUNISM. ‘’HIDEOUS TRAIL OF BLOODSHED AND SACRILEGL” REDS BLAMED FOR SPANISH REVOLUTION. (Press Associati on —Copyright.) Received 1 1 a.m. To-day. LONDON, November 30.
The Roman Catholic Archbishop of St. Andrews and Edinburgh, Archbishop McDonald, in a pastoral letter bitterly attacks Communism. He says: "The progress of Communism has left a hideous trail of violence, bloodshed and sacrilege wherever it succeeds in usurping power. Its domination is 'maintained by tyranny which for injustice and ruthlessness is unsurpassed in history.” ; ; "The unspeakable horrors,” he continues, "attending the rise of Communist power in Russia and the terrible crimes of the Red revolution in Spain are merely the normal fulfilment of the Communist plan which, when the opportune hour strikes, will be applied to every country of the world. r “Never in history has such a black tide of evil poured over the world as that pouring from Moscow. It is the greatest danger, spiritually, morally and socially, in the world.” \
