CRYSTAL PALACE DESTROYED BY FIRE.

Press Association —Copyright. Received 1 p.m. To-day. London, Nov. 30. An outstanding landmark in South-east London, visible from eight counties, namely, the Crystal Palace, sank into insignificance when destroyed by a fire which started in the centre transept and spread quickly owing to the inflammable nature of the flooring to the entire structure. Sparks flew two miles and the crash of woodwork and glass was audible still further. The great organ and television equipment were destroyed.
