First Challenge For Avon Stars. The Tirst challenge of the season for the Avon Stars was made during the week-end when a strong Eltham rink played the holder Stratford, at Stratford. A very keen game was witnessed, both teams playing some splendid bowls. The Stratford team, however, proved too strong and won by a margin of eight points.
