AMUSEMENTS.

Plaza Theatre.

Even though they monopolise the limelight, the Dionne quintuplets are not. the only up and coining young stars in the Fox picture, “The Country Doctor.” showing at the Plaza Theatre, to-night. Prominent in the supporting case of the picture, which presents the world's most famous little girls in their first feature length production, are June Lang and Michael Whalen. Featured -together in romantic roles, they too are making their bids for stardom. Jack Hulbert givcis a very bright, performance in the amusing Gau-mont-British comedy', “Jacie of All Trades,” which is to commence showing at the Plaza Theatre to-morrow. Farce and comedy are both introduced into the story with distinct advantage. Robertson Hare is in support. Gina Malo makes a delightfully vivacious heroine.

King’s Theatre.

The inimitable humour for which Mae West is famous is one of 'like most attractive features of her latest film, “Klondike Annie,” which is being shown at the King’s Theatre finally to-night. In the part of an entertainer in a Chinese gambling establishment on the notorious “Barbary Coast” of San Francisco, Mae West is given wide scope. Victor McLaglen, who takes the part of a bullying - sailor, is particularly good. “Shakedown,” on the same programme, tells of a family’s troubles when it suddenly loses its wealth. Delightful entertainment is contained in “The Moon’s Our Home,” which will be screened at the King’s to-morrow and on Wednesday'. Margaret Sullivan and Henry Fonda head .the cast of this fine comedy romance.
