All games in the southern senior eTicket competition on Saturday were drawn, 4 Stratford appeared to be in a good position against Patea, in the game at Stratford, but the visitors managed to play out time for an unimpressive draw. Kaponga had a narrow escape from defeat at the hands of Manaia, who had six wickets in hand and only wanted 24 runs to win when stumps were drawn. f. $ • In the senior B match at Hawera, Old Boys secured a runaway victory over Stratford, scoring 234 runs to 69. A feature of the Stratford Technical High School v. Old Collegians game was the unbeaten century of Anderson. Before batting, Anderson did a large share of’ the bowling and secured four wickets for 36 runs The most .open game in the northern division is that between New Plymouth High School and the competition leader, New Plymouth. High School scored 77 in its first innings and New Plymouth, with-44 runs for six wickets, is fighting for a first innings advantage. AVestern Park came to light in taking a moderate first innings’ lead from Old Boys, competition runner-up.
