AN N.Z. INDUSTRY.
Making* Batteries For Motors And Radio. While theer may be many branches of - manufacturing which it would be economically unsound for New Zealan to. adopt, one which seems to have effectively established itself is that of building Motor-car and Radio Batteries. Admittedly we canont produce in the Dominion all the raw materials i which go to make the internal economy of that box of_ mysteries, but giv'en these, we can shape, mould, and assemble them in such a way as to give service at least equal to the completely imported article. This is} all - to the good, and means employment for a considerable number of skilled tradesmen. - One of the most progressive and up-to-date plants for this purpose is established in Hastings, building the well-known “Dynite” Batteries, which are already enjoying a steadily growing reputation for reliable service. Certain features are admittedly essential to a really high-grade Battery, and as explaine dto our representative, these are standard practice in “Dynite.” The product of this enterprising factory certainly seems to bear out the claims of the manufacturers, and we congratulate them on their initiative and present success. • ■ ■■■■■■■
