MR. J. H. THOMAS. PUBLIC LIFE AGAIN. “Not Revealing Any Cabinet Secrets.” Press Association —Copyright. London, Nov. 20. Mr. J. H. Thomas, former Dominions Secretary, made his first public appearance to-day since his resignation from the Cabinet as a result of the Budget scandal. He spoke at the Excelsior Philanthropic Society’s London banquet. “I speak to you without any responsibilities, but I am not revealing any Cabinet secrets.”, he said. He attended the banquet as the guest of Lord Hirst. When interviewed afterwards Mr. Thomas hinted that he would shortly return to public life. ‘‘l never intended to remain buried.” he added.
