Soul and Boots Limited caused Souls to move to 88s. I Sales were: Bank of New South Wales, £35 17s Gd; Commercial Bank of Sydney, £2l 17s; Commercial Bank of Australia, 19s 9d; Bank of Australasia, £l2 15s; Union Bank, £lO 12s 6d; Colonial Sugar, £43 10s; Burns Philp, 745; British Tobacco, 46s 9d; Tooths, 575; Coles, 82s; Farmers, 33s 9d; David Jones, 48s 9d; Mauri Brothers, 71s 6d; W. H. Soul, 88s; Union Theatres (pref.), 14s Gd; Woolworths (ordinary), sales £7 14s Gd; Woolworths (New Zealand), buyer, £7 2s, seller £7 ss; Selfridge’s, buyer, 38s' 71d, seller 295; Mt. Lyell, 36s 9d; Em- j peror, 17s; Tongkah Harbour, 23s 41d. j Loans were easier and quiet at Melbourne. Industrials remained firm and there was a strong market for banks and barriers.
