OPENING OF THE BAZA&R,
The bazaar organised by the National Band in aid of the new instrument fund was successfully launched afc , *ho Drill Hall last evening, and "was for--«nally opened by the Mayor (Mr W. W., in the presence of a.largo Attendance of the public. For the , fcszaar the Drill Hall ha 3 been mosfc profusely decorated with flags an<i greenery, iand with the special lighting .pervice the interior presented a very s;ay taoi festive appearance. For the dances, v&hich were presented under the 'lireo tion of Miss Estelle Beere, of Weiliig4on, a special stage was erected, nigher than, usual, which afforded the onu.ik<3cs a full view of the performers, The - Is.ackgTound of ferns and evergreen was -r&ry pffective. The programme was arranged Miss Estelle Be«re, who is to be C^agratulated upon the artistic perof her young pupils. Little jfcp-n Beere, who has been seen in NelfiQXi before, received a very cordial welc'Gjne. She displayed great naturalness atSfl charm in all her numbers, whic-Y ■«^e danced with rare artistic skill and ptfSrce. Her repertoire included, "Tk<z B^ath of a Rose" ; song and. dance. c'g;aty"; "La Poupee," from "Goody Two Shoes" ; nnd with Florence Hgvworth, another clever child performer, 010 ''Danse Coquette," and a double 'dijg dance. She "was presented witn ;t ij&uquet. Florence Heyworth, wtio d£srffltyed wonderful skill as a toe dancer, £pS?o a finished and artistic p«formaw.o <£, £!£The Dying Swan" and t(Bur Leg t-jE^fttea." Zelda Bailey &\m danced \v.Wh. artistic skill a "Danse Caprice/* A tote dance, and appeared in a song a.ii <ta»ce, • "Lancashire I<asß."
