GREAT MAJORITY FOR A STRIKE
ACTION DELAYED

London, June 1. •'■lhe police ballot resulted in 44,539 voting in favour of a strike and 4324 against.
The Union officials continue to negotiate with the Government.
It was announced at the police demonstration in Hyde Park that the executive had postponed the strike until peace had been signed.
